14 Stations of the Cross Set
Theologically rigorous and emotionally moving, this set of the 14 Stations of the Cross stirs heartfelt contemplation of the Passion of Christ. Based on a traditional interpretation as shown through inspired, inspiring new imagery, the set transports the viewer to the final hours of Christ’s ministry on earth. His compassion and sacrifice are conveyed with narrative richness, complex imagery, and multilayered symbolism.
Originally commissioned by the Church of Christ the King in New Vernon, NJ, this masterful set took more than a year to complete. Winner of the 2011 Merit Design Award from the American Institute of Architects’ Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture, our 14 Stations of the Cross is a rare creation – a contemporary masterpiece of ecclesiastical art. Our archival-quality giclée collection uses the highest quality giclée technology to bring the vibrant colors, tonal range and textural integrity of the original oil paintings to churches of all budgets.
“Porter brings his vast wealth of knowledge to the Stations, making them not only emotionally moving, but intellectually rewarding…(The) stations are loaded with complex and intelligent symbolism which works on many layers”
